Academics & Scholarship
Phi Delta Theta consistently has one of the most impressive groups of brothers who are well rounded in their social and academic lives. Over the course of the years we have seen the devotion to one of Phi Delta Theta’s core values, sound learning, increase beyond belief. Here is a brief snapshot of the academic standing of the house:

Scholarship Program at Phi Delt
We take scholarship very seriously here at Phi Delt. Since our re-founding in 2005, we’ve been above the All-Greek average every year, and been in the top 3 of all fraternities several times.
We know that when pledging a fraternity, it can be hard to keep grades up. Our chapter takes the academic performance of every member very seriously, and takes pride in cultivating an environment of high academic achievement. At the beginning of each semester, all pledges participate in a time management workshop from our scholarship chair that teaches them tips and tricks to stay ahead in school and adjust to a college workload. After this workshop, we provide each pledge with a list of on campus resources to aid them in their studies. We also set aside two hours per week for quiet study hours at the house, a mandatory activity for all pledges. In addition, pledges must get a form signed by each of their professors midway through the semester. This form acknowledges that the student has attended at least one office hours meeting for the class. This helps to improve our faculty relationship on campus. The scholarship chair is also able to monitor the performance of the pledges in their classes this way, and a 3.0 minimum is held for becoming a member in good standing of the fraternity after pledge semester. A list of active members in the house with the same major is provided to the pledges, so if they’re having trouble they can seek out help in their specific subject.
We also recently implemented a book sharing system, so actives can sell their old books and actives can buy them for their upcoming classes at a reduced price.
