What is Rush?
Rush is another name for recruitment in the Greek Community. For fraternities rush is conducted in the Fall and in the Spring. Rush consists of a week’s worth of events and activities planned by a fraternity so that potential new members can see if a particular fraternity is a right fit for them. Rush week in the Fall begins with an on-campus BBQ and continues with house tours and a few days of fraternity planned events. Event schedules are unique to each fraternity. Blue Chip dinner is an invite only event which a fraternity will invite potential new members whom they believe are the best fits for their house. The night following Blue Chip is bid night during which each fraternity gives out bids to potential members whom they would like to join the chapter.
Remember that if you are interested in participating in USC Fraternity Rush for 2013 you need to fill out a form for the Interfraternity Council (IFC) which is located here.
If you are interested in potentially becoming a new member of Phi Delta Theta or would like more information from some of our members please fill out this form as well.
